What does it mean to be a successful blogger in the first place?
I want to attempt an answer to this question first before giving some vital tips I know will help you achieve success.
Many bloggers for different reasons. Success in blogging is simply meeting your purpose in blogging. Now ask yourself ” why did I set up my blog?”
As we round up activities for 2013 and look forward to a brighter new year in 2014, I want to look back and revisit the guest articles I submitted in 2013 and also give you an opportunity to promote yours. The reason is to give us more exposure to the kind of content I’m confident will add value to our blogging journey.
My guest articles have done well, receiving a lot of visits and engagement from readers. Though I submitted something below 10 guest posts this year, these are worth this recap. Let’s start with the article that’s my personal story!
Yeah, 70% productivity doesn’t sound too promising, does it?
But, it’s not too bad (and it’s realistically possible). I will explain why my numbers are low later on 😉
For me, the main problem with productivity was quantifying it. How do I measure it? Am I productive if I get things done and spent a lot of time for entertainment? Or do I have to spend all of my working time on working?
Really, who likes the second part? (I know I don’t!)
Today as I write this article, it’s one month since this blog was launched. Domain name was registered on October 28, 2013. Check the whois record here. Genesis framework and Prose child theme installed and customized the following day. First post went live same day i.e 28th October 2013.
Here is the very first article I wrote for this blog: SEO after Hummingbird ~ Facts You Must Know to rank better in Search Engines. From my Google Webmaster Tools account, this article is already getting some natural traffic from keyword ‘seo after hummingbird‘
Now, this first month has been with a lot of hard work and enthusiasm. I’m seeing positive results in terms of traffic and engagement.
