We know speed is a crucial factor when it comes to blogging from both SEO and visitors standpoints. There are lots of things to make your blog load faster. All things being equal, the faster your blog, the better your chances of grabbing Google’s attention.

If your site or blog takes above 1 second to load, it’s said to be slow. Now, that shows you how much importance is given to speed. That speed literally means the amount of time the server takes to interpret and respond to any request for a web page. This has to do with processing your CSS files, Javascript, database queries, images, etc.

As a reader, it will be wrong judgement to sit before your screen and estimate the number of seconds your blog takes to load. This is because there are lots of other factors that may affect your speed mainly, your bandwidth and device speed capacity (PC, mobile, etc).

I’m so excited to announce version 1.2 of MyCommentAuthors free WordPress plugin. Initially, I did not see where it was going but after publishing version 1.0, the feedback from my community was quite exciting.

Some of you have installed the plugins. Others are waiting for month end as initially, it was a purely month end plugin. However, with version 1.2, you may have to get it right now. WordPress spam – WordPress bloggers’ nightmare is far from becoming history but Hashcash almost promises zero tolerance.

Hashcash.io is introducing a method that forces the user’s browser to solve math. This method is said to secure sites against brute force attacks. It leverages open technology including Asm.js, HTML5 and Web Workers to force your login and comment forms disabled until your browsers has solved the required math. I think this is a new way to keep bot and spammers panting off your blog.
