It has been outspokenly established that blog commenting is an exciting blogging exercise with tons of advantages like exposure, traffic, community growth, business growth, etc.
Now, while looking at my income reports, I found out that my community members have been largely responsible for a huge portion of my affiliate earnings. Whenever I do an affiliate product review, I monitor my sales and commissions. My friends actually buy from me and that makes me money.
Needless to say I’m so excited and proud of you. Yes, you know it and you are smiling right now! The last purchase you did, I earned a commission so thank you 😉
I came to know must of my friends through blog commenting. That shows how strategic the activity is in making money as a blogger.
We know there are many commenting systems beside the traditional WordPress commenting facility. Both Facebook and Google plus commenting systems are the choices of many bloggers. However, traditional WordPress (CommentLuv combined) is by far the point of attraction for many more comment lovers.
Today, I want to talk about a practically new commenting and engagement plugin for WordPress users. I think this is going to be the next big thing when it comes to blog commenting and relationship building.
Speakol Blog Engagement Plugin!
I have reviewed speakol so please check it out here!
Recently, the team has taken it up to a whole new level. You can now simply install the speakol plugin and once activated, it will automatically add an argument widget after every post you publish.
This gives your readers the opportunity to exchange ideas on the subject discussed. Beside traditional comments, your readers can vote and share the discussion on social media. Here is what the Speakol widget looks like:
Now you see on the widget your readers can vote, comment to share their views and spread the word social media, notably on Facebook, Twitter, Google Plus and LinkedIn.
Installing Speakol
The first thing you will have to do is create your free speakol account here.
Then go to Settings and grab your Publisher ID:
Once you have your Publisher ID, go to the plugin section of your WordPress Admin:
Plugins -> Add New (Or download Speakol from WordPress.org here)
Locate the “Search Plugin” form field . Type in the word ‘speakol‘ (without quote) and hit the enter key on your keyboard. click to install.
Once installed, the Speakol shortcut will be placed on the left tool bar:
There is no much to be done to set it up. Let’s see a few options on the settings page though!
First, you have to check the Enable option if you want to go live. Then make sure your Publisher ID (Which you grabbed above) is entered in the appropriate field.
The box width should be adjusted to fit your theme.
Every other option here is quite self explanatory.
Where are comments stored?
Speakol arguments (comments) are not stored on your blog. You will have to login to your speakol account to moderate comments and contributions from your readers:
Speakol Team will be glad to hear your feedback
The guys of Speakol are so excited about this new release and are waiting to get feedback from bloggers. I recommend you try this tool out and vote/comment on it on WordPress.org
They will be quite excited to hear from you as that will help them ameliorate their services.
NB: Just below this post is the speakol widget. Let me know what you think about it

Hey Enstine,
I see installing this plugin as a positive reinforcement because of the fact that it’ll keep your commenters on your blog longer which will effect the bounce rate. I’ve commented on yours and other blog using speakol and I like the idea that it’s an alternative for all of us to not engage with the author of the post but also with each other!
Thanks for keeping us posted on this plugin!

Hello Enstine,
I must gotta check this plugin out. I’d say its something new which will take some time to implement but I believe that the more bloggers have it up on their blogs, the more the chances we come to know how good and adaptable Speakol is.
In general, it’s so different than traditional commenting systems (which we are used to of), so a try is worth it. I liked you having it used for the arguments in your different blog posts. 🙂
Thanks for the guide, happy to share it!
~ Adeel Sami
Hi Adeel,
You are very correct. It’s something new and requires time for bloggers to get used to it. However, the team is working on a module that will really help them spread the word.
Are you going to give it a try on your blog too?
Don‘t you think it speakol will replace your own same sort of plugin ?
Hi Nitin,
Thanks for stopping by.
Kindly rephrase. I want to know what you think speakol will replace 😉
Hey Enstine, I am one person who likes to try out new things on my blog. I do trust your word and will check this out. One challenge that I see with this commenting system is that you have to login to your speakol account every time to moderate comments. Hope in future they allow local synchronization and have everything done on the Dashboard.
Thanks
Emmanuel
Hey bro,
Thanks for sharing your opinion 😉
It will be wonderful to share this on WordPress so the developers can take note. However, I’m sure they will check it here.
Hope you are having a wonderful weekend
I have seen the speakol plugin beneath many of your posts. It looks nice but, a while back, when I tried to use it, it required I register for a new account on their system. This deterred me as I was tired of having numerous accounts in different places. But I should give it a try again, because of the debate feature.
Debates are notorious for increasing blog engagement, hence I am really attracted to this new feature. Thanks for the step by step guide, Enstine. Its nice to know I have a place I can go to for guidance when I am ready to add more to my blog.
Hey Chioma,
Good to see you here!
How is the new president doing? He took office today right?
Yes, It’s really an issue to deal with numerous. However, with social media login system, it breaks down the job to really basic level.
It will be exciting to have it on your blog so let’s see how it goes 😉
I have you see you use it severally on your Blog post, which i was almost tempted to request for my own copy.
But gladly its here right on my knee. Since already late here in Nigeria , Lets see what tomorrow holds for me.
Hopefully, it’ll start running on my blog
Hey bro,
I hope the fuel shortage will not stop you from driving to anywhere there is Internet to try this 😉
It will be exciting to see this on your blog. Let me know how it goes
Hohaa,
Glad you know how we were battling over fuel for the past few weeks.
Though, it’s been taking careof.
