The Reliability of the Server

Another very important thing you have to consider when trying to find the right web host is thewebhosting service reliability of their servers. You have to make sure you are not going to have your site crashing on a regular basis due to the damage this could do to your reputation.

By taking your time and researching the history of each of the companies you will be able to find out about the track record their servers have had.

  4. Thanks for the tips. For me I can add another tip. SUPPORT: You need a dedicated 24/7 support; phone, email and ticket system.
For me Godaddy offers half a day support. Bluehost and Hostgator are the best in support.
    Thanks.

  5. Hello Sir,

I am facing some issues with my hosting provider. It is gving me much downtime and my blog loading has become very slow. Can you sugeest me some good one.

    Looking farwar for your reply

  6. I’m working with Godaddy now and it’s okay. In the past, I used Liquidweb and a few others. The hardest part is finding a good dedicated host. Most of the shared hosts is suitable for average sites because traffic levels aren’t that high.

  7. These tips are very useful but my first preference to choose a web host is current user recommendations. Like I always choose a web host upon the reviews of current customers.

    thanks

  9. Hey Enstine! Great post.

I just switched hosting providers last week. Got more reliable service for less money, and plus I knew a couple of the guys who work for the company.

    Made the whole process smooth.

    • Hey Brent,
Good to know your transition was smooth
Sometimes, if poorly handled, it leads to downtime and a couple of other issues.

Will be excited to know about your new host 😉

  10. Hey Enstine,

I’m happy with my hosting company. One thing you pointed out is that whenever you pick a hosting company you want to make sure that their server is reliable. I know of quite a few bloggers who went with a hosting company and the server would go down quite often. And if you have a set schedule of when you publish your blog, not only will you be frustrated but also your audience who depends on you.

Right now I’m doing shared hosting, but will be thinking about looking into other packages. I will keep Sibername in mind! Thanks for the share Enstine!

    • Reminds me when I started off with one Indian host for $1/month. I had the worst experience ever 😉

The price was attractive but service quality needed immediate attention. Moving from them was like a cup of water to a thirsty man in the dry desert.

Hostgator has been doing well for me since 2008 😉

Good to hear your point too bro. Hope you are having a wonderful week

  11. Glad to know about this.. Thanks for sharing .. I always prefer free hosting blogger.com for all my experiments..

  12. Well currently I’m using hostgator as well as hostmetor, indeed I’m not satisfied with both of the hosting companies.

You’ve shared really great tips to choose a reliable web host.

    Thanks

  13. Hi Enstine,

Hmm – I’m NOT happy with my current hosting company and have been on the verge of moving for a while. I thought I’d found a company to move to, just not plucked up courage to do it yet in case something goes wrong as I’ve just had too much on my plate these last few weeks.

I’ll pop over and see if Sibername can top the company I’d selected – but not yet moved to!

    Thanks for the information, Joy

    • Hey Joy,
It’s a difficult step to take especially if you are not really sure where to go. One thing too that’s clear is that no host is perfect. Some are terribly bad though 😉

Been with Hostgator since 2008 and have not had any big issues.

Let’s know how Sibername get’s on with you 😉
